Introduction of the exhibition
Chemistry is defined as basic sciences along with mathematics and physics, and it is taught at the same time as the two mentioned fields in different educational levels. Chemistry is one of the sciences that has always been fully involved in human life, and with the development of technology and civilization, its involvement in various aspects of life increases.
Chemistry and chemical engineering have many links with our culture and religious beliefs. In the 8th century AD, Jabir bin Hayyan, who is also called the father of chemistry, was one of the students of Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS). Unlike the Greek and Egyptian alchemists who mostly thought only in their minds, his research was done in the laboratory. Mohammad Zakariai Razi also built a solid foundation for modern chemistry by using a modern laboratory and designing and describing more than twenty laboratory tools, some of which are still in use today.
In Iran, this discipline has a long history. Faculty of Chemical Engineering of Iran University of Science and Technology started its activities as the first Faculty of Chemical Engineering in Iran by graduating its first student in 1314. Tehran University was established in 1313, and the field of chemical engineering was one of the fields offered in the technical faculty. In 1336, Amirkabir University of Technology was established and accepted students in the field of chemical engineering for a four-year period. After these two universities, Shiraz University and then Sharif University of Technology in 1345 started this field. In the following years, a master’s course and a doctoral course in chemical engineering were also launched in some universities.
Chemical engineering is a branch of engineering science that deals with the design, construction and operation of processes and plants related to the chemical industry. Chemical industries are those industries in which a chemical, physical or biological change transforms raw materials into valuable industrial products.
Modern chemical engineering includes a range beyond process engineering. The main goal of chemical engineering is to use the knowledge of physics and mathematics to create better materials and products for today’s world. Today, chemical engineers are involved in the development and production of valuable and diverse products in addition to the production processes of basic raw materials. These products include special and efficient materials for industries such as refinery equipment, aerospace, automotive, medical, electronic industries, environmental applications and military industries. Examples of these products are fibers, textiles and very strong adhesives, biocompatible materials and new medicines. Today, chemical engineering is closely related to biological sciences, medical engineering and most engineering branches.
The ancient history of this field of knowledge and industry in our country and its extent and impact in various primary and applied industries, the existence and activity of production and commercial units in the field of chemical and laboratory industries, make it necessary to hold an exhibition with the mentioned topic. Iran is known as one of the countries with diverse and leading industries in the region and has various capacities in various industrial fields, including oil, gas and petrochemical industries; Mineral; medicinal; dietary; medical; textile; Nizami and… pointed out that in all these fields, chemical and laboratory industries play an effective role.
In all above-mentioned industrial units that are somehow affected by process industries, chemical laboratories are considered as a quality control crossing and a reference for approval or disapproval of products.
On the other hand, this field of knowledge is one of the country’s investment priorities. According to the reports published by the Ministry of Industry, Mining and Trade, 322 investment priorities for the country in 2014 have been defined in the following areas:
Medical equipment (40 titles)
Non-metallic minerals (30 titles)
Chemical industry (29 titles)
Metals and metal products (26 titles)
Machine building and equipment (25 titles)
Textiles and clothing (23 titles)
Polymer industries (22 titles)
Electricity and electronics (21 titles)
Automobile and motive power (20 titles)
Petrochemical and refinery (19 titles)
Cellulose industries (14 titles)
Pharmaceutical industries (13 titles)
Business (12 titles)
Food industry (9 titles)
Metal and household appliances (8 titles)
Discovery (6 titles)
extraction (4 titles)
Of these, chemical, polymer, petrochemical and refinery industries are considered to be the top 10 investment priorities of the country.
Licenses issued
According to the report of the Statistics and Data Processing Office of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade, during the year 1994, a total of 16,010 establishment permits have been issued in the whole country, and the highest investment amount is 256,736 billion Rials in the materials manufacturing group. and chemical products are assigned. In 1994, 1189, an establishment license was issued in this area.
Operating licenses
According to the report of the Statistics and Data Processing Office of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade, during the year 1994, a total of 5,109 exploitation licenses were issued in the whole country, and the largest investment was realized in the amount of 44,490 billion Rials in the group of manufacturing materials and products. It is chemical.
employment
The total employment forecast of the ongoing projects in 1994 is 986,866 people, of which 236,096 people belong to the chemical materials and products manufacturing group. (23%)
Purposes of the event
1. Introducing the capacities and capabilities of our country in the field of chemical and laboratory industries from various dimensions, including the production of machinery, raw materials, equipment and related services.
2. Establishing a direct relationship between production and suppliers of chemical and laboratory materials and equipment with consumers
3. The field of latest industrial developments by leading international companies
4. Creating a space for interaction between chemical and laboratory industry activists such as
Manufacturers, traders, service providers and distributors
5. Creating a platform for the interaction of scientific and research institutions of the country with domestic and foreign industrialists
Venue: Aftab International Exhibition Center
The initial design of the Aftab international exhibition complex as the country’s largest exhibition project with a land area of 275 hectares on the side of the Persian Gulf highway and in a completely specialized and international environment was approved by the Tehran Islamic Council in 2004 and Tehran Municipality was responsible for preparing the construction plan. This collection was
The construction of this magnificent collection started in 2010 after the approval of the plan and financing, and finally, the first phase of the collection was put into operation in 2015 at the same time as the opening of the 29th Tehran International Book Fair.
In the first phase, the following spaces have been exploited, which include:
1. The permanent roofed exhibition space includes three halls with a total area of 25 thousand square meters.
2. Temporary exhibition space (tent) of about 28,000 square meters, which will be replaced with permanent halls in the next phases.
3. Hall of Nations with an area of more than 7 thousand square meters.
4. Office space with an area of 24 thousand square meters on 2 floors.
5. Service buildings (restaurants, coffee shops, stores, etc.) each with an area of 2,000 square meters.
